Introduction
Greetings, again! Since the release of Warzone 133's "Reforged" server update, I've noticed that a large amount of permissions have become misplaced. Since we currently cannot make use of LuckPerms or SpongeForge due to compatibility issues, we have introduced an update concept known as the "Security and Quality Update" bringing many QoL and security changes to Warzone 133 Modded.
Due to the massive number of changes, I've decided to first post a concept of the update here for you, our community, to examine before its release in about a week or two from this point. This way, we can avoid extremely controversial changes such as the March 22nd Audio Privacy Update by Roblox Corporation, or VRChat's "Security Update" to provide a few examples of terrible corporate errors in the past.
We thank you all for your time and effort in pushing Catz vs. 133 forward to the next stage of its story. Ever since Lore Season One ended, I thought some things would go sour, but no; you all kept it going, and for that I thank you. Now, let's take a look at this update.
Server-Sided Changes: SECURITY
We are making plans to switch from Feed the Beast mods to the Server Utilities system of moderation, in an attempt to finally gain back several features held by EssentialsX in addition to further empowering moderation and ensure the continued safety of our community.
Server Utilities: Server Utilities will be the main mod used for moderation following this point. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/server-utilities
Blame: This will allow for server administration staff to find out what worldgen features are crashing the server, if any of them ever do happen to crash the server. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/blame
Tempban: Tempban will, as the name says, allow for proper tempbans to be issued by Warzone 133 Modded's administration staff. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/tempban
Vanishmod: Vanishmod will allow for admins to enter a proper "vanish" mode just like EssentialsX provided. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/vanishmod
Maintenance Mode: Title says it all; Maintenance Mode allows us to slam the server into Maintenance Mode with a single command. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/maintenance-mode-forge-fabric-quilt
Modpack Updates: PERFORMANCE
Warzone 133 Modded, in the process of switching to regular Forge software from Mohist's server software, lost some minor performance tweaks made by the Spigot side of Mohist. We intend to restore some of these by various means, in addition to providing more performance features beyond this.
Clumps: Clumps experience orbs together to reduce lag and accelerate experience gain. This was a feature on Mohist that we are now bringing back. You're welcome. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/clumps
Time Shall Not Pass: Stops time from progressing when no players are online, effectively giving the server an "idle state" where, as the mod name says, TIME...SHALL NOT...PASS!!!! https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/time-shall-not-pass
Modpack Updates: QUALITY
Warzone 133 Modded is a modpack, that's for sure. However, its low mod count lacks some quality-of-life features, and isn't too friendly to non-grindy players. This update seeks to change that; while it will unfortunately inflate the modpack size and require a slightly better PC, it should pay off with providing a high quality experience even if you don't play on the High Quality Pack.
Campfire Spawn and Tweaks: Allows setting your spawn point in non-Overworld dimensions by simply using a campfire. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/campfire-spawn-and-tweaks
RPG Parties: Group up with your friends and take on those raid bosses and lore events like an actual team! https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/rpg-parties
Better Drowning: Tweaks drowning, as the name says. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/better-drowning
Void Totem: A modified Totem of Undying that can only be activated by being killed by the void (for example, falling off an island in The End). When activated, not only are you protected from death, you also get teleported to the nearest safe location. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/voidtotem
Nether Portal Fix: Fixes Nether Portals being improperly linked...or at least tries to. You're welcome, again. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/netherportalfix
Modpack Updates: OTHER ADDITIONS
These mods didn't fit under any of the above categories but I wanted to add them anyway.
Trade System: Allows for safe and secure trading with other players without risk of your items being yoinked. Note: the part of this mod that prohibits dropping items will be turned off, so you'll still be able to throw your junk into lava, don't worry. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/trade-system
Cat Has Wares: You are cat. Sell your wares. Fully automated. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/cat-has-wares
Chorus Warps: A less-grindy alternative to Draconic Evolution's Advanced Dislocator. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/chorus-warps
Wall Jump: I think you know what a wall jump is. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/wall-jump
Redstone Quit: A block that, when powered, kicks all players in a nearby range. Useful for AFK farms that want to remove the AFKing player when the farm storage is full. Usage of a Redstone Quit as a "chunk ban device" will result in a permanent ban for all players involved in the incident. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/redstone-quit
Wormhole Portals: Who gives a s#&t about the 8:1 Nether ratio calculations anyway?! If it's too much work for your brain, just portal directly there! And yes, this mod's portals function across dimensions, so you can technically have a netherportal-style portal to The End in your base. Just be advised that it's a two-way connection, so you may want to take extra precautions to protect your base if you include one of these inside of it. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/wormhole-portals
Two Players One Horse: Allows two players to ride on one horse. Yes, we have MrCrayfish's Vehicles Mod, but still, it's a wholesome thing that I couldn't resist adding. Also, if you don't want to grind for vehicles, or if you just don't want to use modern technology, here ya go. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/two-players-one-horse
Conclusion
...and that's pretty much all the ideas I have for now! If you have suggestions for other mods that could probably be added, please do let me know, I'd love to hear them. Thank you for your continued support of Catz vs. 133!
